As co-owner of CrossFit Mantra, Jamie is a perfect example of what CrossFit and eating in a more healthy way can do for you. Since becoming an avid CrossFitter in 2011, Jamie has lost 50 lbs and has improved his endurance to the point where he has run 5k’s and the Warrior Dash, and has participated in a number of local CrossFit competitions.  Since opening CrossFit Mantra, Jamie has coached hundreds of CrossFit classes, Elements sessions, and Specialty Sessions, and worked with hundreds of athletes to help them achieve their fitness goals.
 
In addition to playing baseball at Mount Union College, Jamie has extensive experience coaching youth sports and running and managing youth sports teams and organizations. For over 10 years, Jamie has coached a variety of sports including soccer and baseball. He applies this passion for sports, and fitness at CrossFit Mantra everyday.
 
Jamie’s sole purpose in opening CrossFit Mantra, is to share his passion for fitness, nutrition and sports with our community.


Joe Sbrocco

Working out was not his favorite thing to do, but with a slight nudge of his friend and future partner in the business, Joe discovered CrossFit. He was there the day CrossFit Mantra opened its doors in 2012 and has never looked back.  After a ski injury that led to ACL reconstruction, he has re-gained more mobility than ever.  Losing 20 lbs, but gaining so much more than just muscle, he particularly enjoys CrossFit's community aspect and method of combining functional movements with cardiovascular endurance and Olympic lifting. Joe has grown into an avid WOD fanatic joining the rest of the CrossFit Mantra family.

John Scardino has worked in fitness most of his adult life. His passion for life and sport has led him in many divergent directions. Growing up in a suburb of Youngstown, Ohio he developed a love for basketball, football, and track and field. During his senior year of high school he captured All-State honors in track and field. He then earned a B.A. in Psychology from University of Mount Union and an M.S. in both Exercise Science and Sport and Exercise Behavior from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

John Ryan Stefanos

Pat Tomazic

Pat started CrossFit in December 2012 after spending 7 years active duty as a Corpsman in the US Navy. He quickly realized that CrossFit was similar to the military in its challenge, camaraderie and daily push to improve. In addition to being one of CrossFit Mantra’s CrossFit coaches, Pat is one of CrossFit Mantra’s Olympic lifting coaches, working with a wide variety of athletes on their Oly lifts on a weekly basis.  Pat's wife and both children regularly attend class making CrossFit an important family event. Pat is currently attending nursing school at Cleveland State and competes in CrossFit competitions as often as possible.  Pat enjoys golf, hunting and lifting heavy things. 


Lauren Schuck

Lauren was a three sport four year letter winner in high school and very accustomed to year round "practice." In college she decided to pursue other extra curricula's outside of sport and struggled to find a fitness plan with enough structure or focus. Years later after much encouragement and "I promise it won't kill you," she finally walked into CrossFit Mantra.

As of today, Lauren has participated in her 3rd CrossFit Open, getting better and conquering a new movement every year. She has completed her L1 trainer and CrossFit Kids trainer courses and can't wait to go back for more. She not only coaches adult classes, but takes on custom elements clients with programming designed for one on one introduction "on-ramp" to CrossFit at CrossFit Mantra. Lauren also coaches CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Pre-Teens and CrossFit Teens along with Coach John, introducing lifelong fitness knowledge and "love of play" to the younger generation.

She sometimes sneaks away to her "real" job, but feels like Mantra is home and coaching people to improve themselves every day is a true blessing.


PJ MOONEY

PJ began coaching when she was in high school, serving as both a swim and lifeguard instructor through the American Red Cross. In college she did choreography for high school dance and drill teams, and shortly thereafter obtained certifications in A.C.E. group fitness and spinning.

PJ started CrossFit as a last resort to try to regain full mobility after a broken ankle, and got that and more. PJ has a passion for helping people move and eat better to fulfill their potential. Because CrossFit saves the world.
